    lying, evil abounds - people know not the Lord
    insubtantial gods to perish from the earth

    Judah conspires to break the covenant
    wicked likened unto plants to be destroyed
    disobedient nations plucked up, destroyed
    exhumes girdle after burying at Euphrates
    feet of those not glorifying God to stumble
    behold those slain with the sword
    one of four judgements against Judah
    grievious deaths predicted for Jews
    neither have I desired the woeful day
    kingdoms to be plucked up and destroyed
    eat flesh of sons and daughters during siege
    Jeremiah thinks the Lord deceived him

    the Lord's word is like a destroying fire
    people will return to God with whole heart
