The 148th Psalm
| 1. Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights. | 1. Sir, let thy happy harp themes ever arise to God in His refined, His ethereal home. |
| 2. Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts. | 2. I see the Messiah's armies in halos; all lips pray highly. |
| 3. Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light. | 3. Mayhap some solar planets fly in thee, Sirius, adoring Him. |
| 4. Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens. | 4. Even waves that heave in a sphere beyond, say to fear, beneath Him. He saves! |
| 5. Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created. | 5. We did herald and complement the deft Creator of man: "O my! See that? Here, here!" |
| 6. He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass. | 6. Ah, hear, Oh man, Heaven's matchless Lord, He who hath devised earth, as it shall be perfected! |
| 7. Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps: | 7. Hear planets, and fish-eel myths report: "Real, adored God!" |
| 8. Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling his word: | 8. And a harsh flood, wind moving it down in full fury, swirls praise. |
| 9. Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars: | 9. Lands and all life near us lift the Lord's natural music. |
| 10. Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl: | 10. Fat cows and tiny gnats in flight replaced angel bells. |
| 11. Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth: | 11. And persons then praised, like that perfect angel of God. Hallelujah! |
| 12. Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: | 12. Thin nanny, humble senior, and lad commended God. |
| 13. Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven. | 13. Shall not all these inhabitants of His ideal planet-home have extreme reverence for their God? Oh yes! Amen! |
| 14. He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD. | 14. He'll help the favored special houses of His prosper. I see He'll promote a separate, aloof, holy nation here in this earth life and in the next. |
