The 143rd Psalm

1. (A Psalm of David.) Hear my prayer, O LORD, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness. 1. Hands of welfare, assess imminent grievous hardships not evaded; in thy purity, reply magnanimously to a plea for charity.
2. And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified. 2. Halving, john vents: judge me? not inborn drifters? they that end stint? I'm not half as guilty! I win!
3. For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead. 3. But oh how my hated cunning dark foe, thugs of heathendom, hath assailed me, the worshiper, and, teethe deleted, hath malevolently tormented my senses.
4. Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. 4. For that reason I now whimper; these wished it; deliver thee me, limit my misery.
5. I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands. 5. I must desire this world, eh? Look at what ye hath done before, mostly for me and my kin!
6. I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. 6. Itch for thy stream seen at last, as hath thy dry soil; sent from the thunder, it healeth us.
7. Hear me speedily, O LORD: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit. 7. I'm impatient, do come listeneth to my plea; hie fast, before I go down to thy loath hell, terrified in the murky depths.
8. Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. 8. When I wake let me listen to thy truer unusual love. I'd like to find out forks on the warning map which, if chosen, guide me sure to thy home, so no strayin'.
9. Deliver me, O LORD, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me. 9. Often shield me in remoter home; veil me to elude mine dire foe.
10. Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. 10. God's had that gift: help, guide, command me to follow the holy priority thou desirest, not strayin'.
11. Quicken me, O LORD, for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble. 11. Thanks, O God, for hymn's busy lesson, but the key is look out for quagmire; steer me clear of ruin.
12. And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant. 12. Father's favors come often: I'm thy fully committed ally and instrument, if ye can trash my hated foe.
