The 126th Psalm

1. When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.  1. Pinch me. Did I doze? Tell the truth. Are we overtaking the enemy at war? Faith won!
2. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them. 2. The Holy God that made us, sensing all the hurt, hath gone forth in this war. Ah, when getting our freedom, we had to grin in delight, then to hum a tune.
3. The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.  3. God hath renewed our ghost; we feel rather grand - halo fits!
4. Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south. 4. Let us not have thirst; may our cups retain rain that is good.
5. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.  5. Weary or shy? He jettisons all that pain.
6. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. 6. He who is sowing in tears just might well be God's happiest heir; he gathers a big, choice harvest of abundance - inherit the gold mine!
