The 70th Psalm
| 1. Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O Lord. | 1. Look, I am a good mate; the Lord keepeth me, the Lord saves me. |
| 2. Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt. | 2. Put all men that wanted my demise under my feet. No, do thus: break the backs of that slanderous bunch that once tried to defraud me. |
| 3. Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha. | 3. Oh, that bad hate remark, that bad sheer amorality. We suffer an ache! |
| 4. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified. | 4. All ye that tend to feel joy in heavenly ideals, best give out a shout, and sing a chant so, the like angels, Let the Lord be acclaimed. |
| 5. But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying. | 5. Look up, man! God met my human need. Ah, thou Lord, art my redeemer; Please don't be too tardy in arriving, okay? |
