The 12th Psalm

1. Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. 1. Men of god fight. Ah no! dethroned, they left the helm: a camp of error, half full of criminals.
2. They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak. 2. One heareth everybody kissing up. What do they want left unsaid? "Evil!" They like that inapt, high-brow praise.
3. The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things: 3. God shall help turn off that pathetic, self-enthralled, egotist-adorning talk. Shut up!
4. Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us? 4. Odious warrior swore a vow, huh? "I'll have to win." He won't value God's pure, superior will.
5. For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him. 5. God is infinitely patient with his followers; he offerreth to lift up his sheep, that they remain free of harm or mishaps. Don't go fool with him!
6. The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 6. We prefer the faultless wisdom heaven provided for us. Such error-free data! I'd retain it, or sin.
7. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. 7. Oh thrill at firm, potent truth God reserves for us. Ah, he never maketh me to lose hope.
8. The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted. 8. Lewd, rotten kid knew he was venerated? Hey, see the evil climax!
