Vau
| 1. Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word. | 1. Very uncool to deny immortality's miracle. Lo, he now cheats death, converts to God. |
| 2. So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word. | 2. Short story: we have faith in the Lord; we hear his truths; we champion the moral writ. |
| 3. And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments. | 3. Oh, oft tempted, eh? Unhurt though, for I'm devout, moral, and keen to try to find thy just way. |
| 4. So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever. | 4. Flay evil adulterers, killers, etc. Oh! No haven! Now pay! |
| 5. And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts. | 5. I keep by the perfect ways, Lord; I'll wink at trials. |
| 6. I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed. | 6. Make me want to sin? Be off, sods! I shall deplore, whilst obeying like a saint. |
| 7. And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved. | 7. When the damn devil's in me, fallen victim, I'd clash with my holy God. |
| 8. My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes. | 8. My instincts that I will hold to amid dusty human death, will catapult me, who's my divine self, into Heaven. |
