| 1. Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them. | 1. Lo, I meekly honored the statutes of thy mouth wise men preferred. |
| 2. The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. | 2. Thy grand, perfect thoughts shine on the devout, glitter within elevating minds. |

| 4. Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name. | 4. Do thou not even abandon us. Me? shut me not out of thy home or I sulk, all upset at the outcome. |
| 5. Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me. | 5. May I quit my dirty evil; not ever dishonor thee. Note now my sin, and pardon. |
| 6. Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts. | 6. Perils prospect? No! keep me from it. I, myself, love and worship thee. |
| 7. Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes. | 7. They that eat truths, taste of heaven; sunny sky accompanied them. |
| 8. Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law. | 8. Why tears? when your eyes see a victim of unrepentant works bleed. |
