| 3. I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me. | 3. I'm thankful that God hath oft allowed sordid, unfair times: they can just strengthen faith. |
| 4. Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant. | 4. By coming often to my rescue, if I cry "My Father and Lord!", the trustworthy Lord kept his covenant. |
